Personal Tutoring Scheme: Expectations, Perceptions and Factors Affecting Students’ Engagement

An effective Personal Tutoring Scheme (PTS) is a crucial part of the strategy to support students’ progression and success rates in Higher Education institutions. This study investigated expectations perceptions PTS post-1992 university UK. Data collection was achieved through survey completed by 1,078 students from all Faculties used assess trends factors affecting PTS. Results indicated that there gap between perceptions, but comparison previous literature this seems be reducing. Unsurprisingly, frequency regularity meetings are linked with development relationship Tutor (PT) higher level satisfaction. institutions still have further work do close perceptions; however, results indicate currently being undertaken.
